What is a textured protein (textile vegetable protein, TVP) and how is it obtained?Textured protein is a vegan alternative to meat made from pea protein, black bean protein (beans) and a pinch of salt. It does not contain soy, flavors and allergens.
The taste of TVP is neutral and easily absorbs the aromas and flavors of the dish during its preparation. The different textures of the vegetable protein make it extremely suitable for the preparation of various salty dishes.
Product extraction mechanics:Water, salt and black bean protein are added to the pea protein powder, then the finished mixture is pressed and allowed to dehydrate. Goes through shaping the desired texture of the product, through all the necessary quality checks and reaches the end user.
Who is the textured protein suitable for as a product?
- people on a meatless diet
- adhering to a healthy diet with moderate meat consumption
- lovers of variety and culinary challenges
How to use:
The textured pea protein must be rehydrated again. Pour the desired amounts of the product with hot water in a ratio of 1: 2 and leave for a few minutes until the product softens and absorbs the water. It is then added to a variety of dishes: moussaka, spaghetti, burgers, meatballs, stews, stuffed peppers, tacos, etc.
Textured protein bites (NUGGETS) is a product in the form of large pieces, similar to pieces of meat. It is suitable in combination with vegetables in sweet and sour sauce, with rice, and many other options.
