The real cause of rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
We are currently living in the heyday of viruses. Our world is full of pathogens that cause the mysterious diseases that so many people are baffled by, and medicine just labels them as autoimmune diseases. Medical science and research do not know that the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is the cause of so many diseases, including fibromyalgia , chronic fatigue syndrome , multiple sclerosis , thyroid disorders , lupus, Lyme disease , tinnitus, vertigo, rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. There are over 60 varieties of EBV, which can come as a shock to anyone with only a cursory knowledge of this virus, as well as those working in the medical field. Anthony William discusses this virus in detail in his book Thyroid Healing .
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is caused by the late-stage Epstein-Barr virus (read more about the stages of EBV in both parts of our Epstein-Barr virus article ), except that this variety of EBV or does not like to eat so much honey, or simply does not have an excessive amount of toxic honey in the body. The particular variety of EBV that causes RA much prefers the heavy metal mercury as its food. This particular type of EBV invades the connective tissue, joints and tendons in its fourth stage, causing inflammation, which is evidence that your body is trying to keep the invader at bay. Swelling of the knuckles, cervical spine and the like is a sign that the body is reacting to the virus burrowing deeper and causing permanent nerve and tissue damage. In its milder forms, this can manifest as mysterious aches and pains. In advanced forms, people get severe joint swelling and a diagnosis of RA. This information is still unknown to medical science and research.
The first step
The most important step you can take today toward real healing goes far beyond diet or avoiding harmful influences. First you need to realize the real cause of your illness. Your body isn't just attacking itself. The biggest mistake is to believe that your immune system does not support you. When you believe that your disease is autoimmune, you are preventing true healing because you are not giving your body the support it needs as it continues to fight the pathogen in your body. Knowing that your body is not fighting itself, but a pathogen, strengthens your immune system, makes it more focused and makes it work even harder for you. Plus, when you know you have a virus to fight, you can learn the practical steps you can take to give your body the best possible support.
How to heal
Unknown to medical research and science, antibodies have been created to fight the Epstein-Barr virus ; however, your body still needs all the support it can get. Below are some steps you can take that can help you start recovering from rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.
Removal of toxic heavy metals
Toxic heavy metals are one of EBV's favorite foods. And almost all of us unknowingly have toxic heavy metals in our bodies. These metals enable the virus to continue to develop and become more and more reproductive. And the more it feeds on metals like mercury and copper, the more toxic waste the virus releases into the body, leading to the symptoms of psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis. To get rid of toxic heavy metals, there are five important heavy metal detox foods to include in your diet daily: barley grass juice powder , cilantro, spirulina , wild blueberries , and Atlantic dulse . To learn more about these heavy metal detox foods and the best way to combine them, check out the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothies recipe .
Foods to avoid
When you are being treated for RA, it is important to avoid eating things that happen to be some of EBV's favorite foods, such as eggs and dairy products. It's also best to avoid pork because it puts such a strain on the liver that it allows viruses to multiply, grow, and inflame the joints and skin. It is also important to stay away from gluten because it is unknown to all medical circles, but it also provides fuel for the virus. If you've eliminated eggs, dairy, and gluten and after several months you're still experiencing symptoms, consider eliminating all grains from your diet, including oats and rice, while you heal. Some people tolerate grains well, but for some grains need to be removed to allow for deeper healing. Avoiding corn, soy, and canola oil is also helpful. To learn more about why it is best to eliminate these foods from your diet if you have a symptom or illness, you can read the full explanations in Anthony William's book Thyroid Healing .
The healing food: Fruits
While many are told to avoid fruits because of their sugar content, this trend is actually another example of misinformation that only prevents people from benefiting from the powerful anti-viral properties of bananas, dates, apples, melons, mangoes, and all kinds of other fruits. Fruit is the most antioxidant-rich food in the world. Antioxidant should really be synonymous with longevity, as fruit is the best food for extending life and fighting disease. Wild blueberries, blackberries and cherries are among the foods with the most antioxidants. You can focus on those fruits that are most attractive to you. If you have the luxury of a farmer's market nearby, make it a weekly habit to shop there and explore the many varieties of fruit available: apples, pears, peaches, watermelons, apricots, dates, and more. Different types of citrus fruits are also a great addition to your diet. Although some people may think that oranges, lemon water, or grapefruit trigger RA flare-ups, this is just a feeling because citrus fruits detoxify poisons and viral byproducts in your body. In addition to fruits, be sure to eat plenty of green leafy vegetables, vegetables, and include celery stalk juice daily.

Useful nutritional supplements
To aid your healing process, consider including the following nutritional supplements:
Zinc sulfate is one of the most important resources for fighting EBV. The body depletes stores and even deep stores of zinc at a rapid rate, which means it's very common to become zinc deficient when you have EBV, if you weren't already, anyway. This supplement gives the immune system a serious boost so that the EBV cells are destroyed and suppressed. Anthony William recommends and uses Vimergy® Organic Zinc Sulfate .
L-lysine inhibits and reduces the viral load of EBV and has an anti-inflammatory effect on the whole organism. Anthony William's favorite supplement company, Vimergy®, offers L-Lysine in capsule form .
Cat's claw is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antiviral that can be very helpful in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. Anthony William recommends Vimergy® Organic Cat's Claw Alcohol Free Extract .
Taking a methylfolate supplement , which helps with methylation issues, along with an appropriate B-12 supplement that contains adenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin is very important for rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis sufferers. Anthony William recommends Vimergy® 5-MTHF capsules and Vimergy® Organic Liquid Vitamin B12 .
Glutathione helps detoxify the liver, where the viruses and toxins that cause these conditions reside. Vimergy® offers glutathione in capsule form .
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) repairs and strengthens areas of the body that have been damaged by the virus.
The strong antiviral abilities of mulberry leaves make them an important dietary supplement to consider.
The treatment information and nutritional and supplement guidelines we've shared in the psoriasis and eczema blog posts would also be helpful to include.
Complementary therapies
Many people with RA go to an infrared sauna to help with fatigue and stiffness. This could be a good option for you, just be careful the heat is not too high. Be careful how long you stay in the sauna. Another extremely useful treatment is gentle massage therapy, one of the oldest methods since the dawn of time. The healing touch of one person to another can be amazing for RA.

When you consider your options for healing, it can seem overwhelming. Remember to take it slow and at your own pace. Everyone's path will look a little different. Maybe the foods you need to avoid will take some time to eliminate, but the nutritional supplements will come more easily. Maybe eating fruit will be an easy step, but incorporating celery stalk juice is too much for you at first. Do what you can today and keep building on it from here on out. Never forget that your body works with you, not against you, and healing is possible.Material from Anthony William - Medical Medium® was used to create this article
