What it really means to be moderate

What it really means to be moderate

Part I, Chapter 1 of The Healing Medium: Salvation for the Brain (Part Four)

To understand the meaning of the term "moderation" requires high-level thinking. Your personal approach to moderation comes down to whether you want to heal faster, slower, or not heal at all.

You may think you live in moderation. As you will read in the chapter "The Temperance Trap" of the book The Healing Medium: Salvation for the Brain , this is exactly what we are taught: a little of this, a little of that. A little espresso or let's say a little wine - all this sounds very reasonable, balanced and balanced. But what is moderation really when we look at the bigger picture?

People fear that lemons, bananas, grapes, fruit sugars are destroying their teeth... but have they consumed 10,000 or even 1,000 lemons, bananas or grapes in their lifetime? No. They drank chocolate or coffee 10,000 times or more. Maybe you only started drinking coffee in the recent past, so you've only had 1,000 cups of it. In fifteen years you will have reached 11,000 doses of coffee? Will you be drinking coffee at night until then? Will you eat chocolate regularly? Let's say you regularly consume vinegar. In 10 years, you may have drunk over 20 gallons of vinegar.

People drink 10,000 cups of coffee, eat 10,000 doses of chocolate, 10,000 doses of vinegar, and not eat 10,000 bananas, lemons or grapes. And yet we are warned not to eat coffee, chocolate or vinegar, but bananas, lemons and grapes - the healing agents we could all use in our lives in greater quantities.

Maybe you are a person who knows nothing about how to heal, and now you are learning about it. Everything in this book is here to move you forward to overcome your illness, ailment, disease or symptoms. It also means that most of the things you'll read in this book go against what you've been taught is good for your health, what you've been taught to do wrong.

I'm not saying you should stop everything you've ever loved or been addicted to. Armed with the knowledge in this book, you may be able to choose what to let go. When we are told to overcome and forget past hurts and traumas, times when we were hurt, or any trial in the past, we know it won't be easy. "Just forget it": that's what we're told sometimes. It is more difficult when it comes to our minds and emotions, which we cannot see or touch. And while it's hard to let go of the physical things in front of us, like the chocolate, the pasta, the vinegar we pour over our food, the egg we break into the frying pan, we have the power because we see them in front of us. We can open our hands to let them go physically. When you learn that letting go of that egg can move you forward, you have the choice to let it go. You have the power to do it. You can use your free will to eliminate some or all of these things from your diet and from your life.

I understand. Addictive impulses, hunger, and struggles with food are real and serious challenges. It's not at all easy to "give up" when it comes to certain foods that we love. What's different is that now you can understand why they happen and what to do about these challenges. With the knowledge you can gain from The Healing Medium: Brain Rescue chapters - Your Addicted Brain, The Temperance Trap, and Eating Disorders - these challenges are no longer insurmountable mysteries. You can understand the needs of the brain they reveal, and the protocols, cleansing therapies, and recipes in this book guide you in the healing actions to take, all of which means you're not powerless in the face of cravings and unhealthy eating habits.

Many of the things I tell you to give up in Part II of this book, "Brain Traitors," are supposed to be good for you. Apple cider vinegar, pasta, coffee, chocolate, matcha tea, green tea - they should all be healthy. This is all part of the delusion. No one really knows what is good for us and what is not. The people who give you advice to consume them are only guided by their own addictions or what they heard is in some study or article. Science doesn't have all the answers. That's why everyone is sick.

At the same time, we are told to stay away from what will help us. These days we hear that there are anti-nutrients in some fruits and vegetables. Again, there is no scientific rationale behind this. People don't eat red peppers every day of their lives. But they drink caffeine every day, or try to. People do not eat celery every day of their lives unless they learn from the information of the Medium Healer. They don't eat red cabbage or spinach every day of their lives. They were told to avoid spinach and cruciferous vegetables like cabbage and make sure they drank their matcha tea every day for the rest of their lives. People will habitually use vinegar every day for the rest of their lives, or almost every day, whether in the food they take out from a restaurant or in the meals they prepare. They are not told to eat mango or papaya every day for the rest of their lives. They are told to stay away from the fruit. "Too much sugar." Then we have the chocolate delusion. People are told that 70 to 90 percent cocoa is better for them—"the more strength the better"—when in reality, a higher percentage of cocoa means more caffeine, which is more harmful to the adrenal glands.

The concept of moderation is not going away. As long as there are human beings on this planet, temperance will also be here. Human nature hides human desires, which are partly driven by instant gratification, vices, and addiction. The world is a tough place. Temperance is a friendly way of saying, "I need my vices to get me through the day, while I'm in survival mode, while I fight my battles with adversity, to live my life." Healing is not about making moderation your enemy. It's about making friends with moderation so it doesn't sneak up on you, surprise you, trip you up, and make you fall flat on your face. Understanding moderation is a great way to understand how to protect your brain.
