Shock therapy with aloe vera
• 4 min. read
Many people struggle with gastrointestinal pain that spreads throughout the abdomen and torso without realizing that it originates in the stomach or intestinal tract. Aloe vera has chemical compounds that neutralize acids and calm the nerves in the lining of the intestinal tract, slowing and stopping intestinal spasms. Aloe neutralizes acids and suppresses the development of bacteria and viruses, as well as the development of yeast, non-productive fungi and molds. Aloe vera also soothes the mucous membranes of the intestinal tract by soothing inflamed intestinal nerves , suppressing stomach nerve spasms and relieving pressure on the vagus nerves.

Healer Medium Aloe Vera Shock Therapy Guidelines
- For an adult, consume 5 to 10 cm of fresh aloe vera gel (with peel removed) every 2 to 4 hours.
- Continue this therapy for 1 to 7 days.
- After 3 or more days of interruption of shock therapy with aloe vera, you can again go through a cycle of 1 to 7 days of therapy. Between cycles of aloe vera shock therapy, you can take 5 or more cc of fresh aloe vera gel daily or twice daily.
- To prepare the aloe gel, carefully cut a 5 to 10 cm piece of aloe vera leaf, filleting it like a fish and cutting off the green skin and spines. Scrape off the clear gel.
- Make sure you don't use the peel. As you scrape out the aloe gel, be careful not to scrape the skin. A chemical compound in the green bark can be irritating to some people.
- Also cut 2 cm from the very end of the base of the aloe leaf and discard it; it is too bitter.
- If possible, eat the gel straight for best results. If you find it difficult to eat the aloe gel, you can mix it with water. (Make sure you don't use the green peel though.)
- This recipe is based on using a large, store-bought aloe vera leaf, which you can find in the produce section of many grocery stores. If you are using a home-grown aloe vera plant, make sure it is of the edible variety.
- You can prepare all your aloe vera gel for the day at once. Store your aloe gel portions for later in the day in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- If you are storing part of the leaf, wrap the cut end in a damp cloth or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator.
- Avoid aloe leaves where the gel is very red inside and extremely watery. These leaves are not fresh and have started to decay.
- As with other shock therapies, you can always choose to use less than the stated amount. Use as much aloe gel as you can tolerate.
Here are the adapted amounts for children with fresh gel for this therapy:
- 1-2 years: 1 tsp. fresh gel every 2 to 4 hours while the child is awake;
- 3-4 years: 2 tsp. fresh gel every 2 to 4 hours while the child is awake;
- 5-8 years: 1 tbsp. fresh gel every 2 to 4 hours while the child is awake;
- 9-12 years: 2 tbsp. fresh gel every 2 to 4 hours while the child is awake;
- Over 12 years: 5 cm of fresh gel every 2 to 4 hours while the child is awake.
