The main power of strawberries comes from antioxidants – the miracle fighters against free radicals. Antioxidants mean life, while oxidation means death. We need antioxidants to fight aging (oxidative processes) and to maintain our lives despite the constant threats to our health.
Mint improves hydrochloric acid levels in the stomach and soothes intestinal nerves and spasms.
Lime contains micro mineral salts that break down pathogens such as unproductive bacteria, molds, yeasts, and fungi, thus supporting the liver's immune system.
Ingredients:
6-8 fresh strawberries, cleaned of stems and chopped;
10-12 fresh mint leaves;
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime);
In a tall cocktail glass, place the chopped strawberries, mint leaves, lime juice, and maple syrup .
Using a wooden mallet or the back of a spoon, gently mash the strawberries and mint to release their aroma. Be careful not to overdo it or the mint will turn bitter.
Fill the glass with ice cubes. Top up with sparkling water and stir gently.
Serve immediately. Cheers!
Serving size for 1 cocktail.
Tip:
Add a little coconut water for extra flavor.
