How to make a medicinal broth for the thyroid gland?

This nourishing and soothing healing broth contains a selection of powerful ingredients for the thyroid gland and other glands and organs in the body. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup finely chopped parsley;
  • 4 sprigs of thyme;
  • 2 sweet potatoes, diced;
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced;
  • 2 onions, cut into cubes;
  • 6 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 cm piece of turmeric root, ground;
  • 1 cm piece of ginger root, minced;
  • 2 tbsp. Atlantic Dulce Flakes;
  • 1 tbsp. kelp powder;
  • 8 glasses of water.

Method of preparation:

Put the sweet potatoes, celery, onion, garlic, turmeric, parsley, thyme sprigs, dulse flakes, and kelp powder in a large pot with the water. Bring the broth to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Boil the broth for one hour. Strain and enjoy a healing, restorative broth that can be drunk throughout the day.

Advices:

This recipe can also be used as a thick vegetable soup, leaving the vegetables in the broth.

You can also make a vegetable puree from this recipe. Use a blender to puree the vegetables until smooth, or transfer them in small portions to a high-speed blender . Don't forget to leave an opening for the steam to escape through the top of the blender!

You can make a large batch of this soup and freeze some to use during the week. Try freezing the broth in an ice cube tray to make it easier to thaw it later in portions.

If you want to make this soup a little fancier to share with company, you can add a pinch of salt and a little coconut oil or coconut milk to each individual bowl just before serving.
